Hakeem Kigundu was convicted of the murder of Neil Morris 45 and Richard Burgess 46.
He set fire to a block of flats at Rowe Court in the early hours of 15 December 2021 and they died in the fire.
Hakeem Kigundu had previously lived in the building but had been served an eviction notice because of the noise he had been making late at night.
He had used several containers of petrol and has chosen to do it at night when there was less chance of the containers being found.
He was given a whole life tarrif.
Hakeem Kigundu had been a Ugandan national, having entered the UK illegally.
